Like many people, I grew up with dogs (and cats, rabbits, birds, fish, lizards, mice and rats). But as a child, I didn’t realize or appreciate the extent of the training my parents did with the family dogs, to make them such great family members.

In 1989, I bought a Rottweiler and enrolled her in a local dog obedience school. Little did I know that she would open up a whole new world for me!

I started teaching in 1991, helping students solve behavior problems, improve obedience and manners, prepare and compete in competition obedience and conformation, and learn just how much these wonderful companions of ours are capable of!

Through the years, I've also titled my own dogs (the Rottweiler, a Shetland Sheepdog, Golden Retriever, three Afghan Hounds, a Shiba Inu, and two Salukis) in AKC, CKC, and UKC events with multiple Obedience, Rally, and specialty titles including VCC, VCCX, CGC, Star Puppy, Therapy Dog, Junior Hunter, Retriever Working Certificate, and Conformation Championships.

Over 25 years experience teaching thousands of students has brought me to opening Eastside Dog Training. My teaching style is fast-paced and honest. I strive to give you and your dog good sound training to last a lifetime!
